A book whose pages turn as the sands of time fall –
Read, read, study the stories, the teachings;
Each anecdote reveals a power of knowledge, and brings
To light the travails of a life, and a call
To attend and support, protect and stand tall
Over the fledgling bird whose quills, with ancient scratchings,
Will one day write on crisp white pages; write of wings
That were tended till flight could allow all
To witness a monument to a book, a man, yet
More that a man or a book, or any one object
Of beauty and strength; may the screech of an eagle let
The world know the love felt for the effect
Of paragraphs of paragons, chapters of care,
Tales to glory in, and stories to share.
